Newport Bermuda Race

Run by the Bermuda Race Foundation it is a 636-mile biennial competition from Newport, Rhode Island, to Bermuda. Established in 1906, it's the oldest regularly scheduled ocean race and one of the few international distance races held almost entirely out of sight of land.
This will be the first time that the Katara 56 crew will be doing the race.

The Around Long Island

Founded in 1977 by the Sea Cliff Yacht Club, the Around Long Island Regatta is open to all sailboats 26 feet and longer and sailors of all levels. The the traditional course is 207 miles beginning with an exhilarating start off the Statue of Liberty.
This will be the fourth year that the Katara 56 crew will be doing the race.

The X56 is a fifty-six-foot performance cruising yacht, designed for racing and cruising in mind; it could be crossing the Atlantic, or going for a day sail. It is designed by X Yatcht and is the largest yacht in their Pure X Range.
